Get a better grip on the material a bucket can't hold, without stepping up to an oversized attachment.
Clearing a fence row or cleaning up a wooded property can leave you with a frustrating mix of branches, roots, rocks, and small logs. A bucket might scoop some of it, but tangled material tends to roll off or hang over the sides. Then you're stopping to collect everything that fell out along the way.
The Storm Skid Steer Root Grapple is designed to get underneath that material, clamp it securely, and carry it to your cleanup pile. Available in 48" and 60" widths, it gives property owners and equipment operators a practical attachment for land maintenance, storm cleanup, and general debris handling.
Choose between one hydraulic cylinder or two hydraulic cylinders depending on your preferred grapple configuration. Both models use a hydraulic upper claw to hold irregular loads against the lower tines. The two cylinder version uses a pair of cylinders to operate the upper grapple assembly, while the one cylinder version uses a single cylinder.
Built with 1/4" premium A572 steel sides and inner tines, 3/8" claw sides, and 7" tine spacing, the open bottom allows loose dirt and smaller material to fall through while keeping larger debris supported. It's particularly useful when you're collecting brush and roots instead of hauling unnecessary soil with every load.
Storm recommends these grapples for machines up to 50 HP. With multiple quick attach mounting configurations offered through Yard Patriots, you can choose the width, hydraulic cylinder arrangement, and connection that suit your equipment and workload.
Whether you're reclaiming an overgrown corner of your property, cleaning up after a tree project, or maintaining trails and fence lines, this grapple helps turn scattered debris into a load you can actually move.
Choose One or Two Hydraulic Cylinders
Select a single cylinder grapple or a dual cylinder configuration. Both use hydraulic clamping to hold brush, logs, roots, and other irregular material. The two cylinder model uses two cylinders to operate the upper claw assembly. Choose the configuration that best fits your work and equipment.
48" and 60" Working Widths
The 48" model is a practical choice when working through narrower areas or using smaller equipment. The 60" model provides additional width for collecting brush and debris. Choose the size that matches your loader and the areas you're clearing.
1/4" A572 Steel Tines and Sides
Storm builds the lower tines and sides from premium A572 steel, with 3/8" steel claw sides. This construction provides a durable framework for picking up and transporting the irregular material encountered during routine property cleanup.
7" Open Tine Spacing
The spacing between the lower tines helps loose soil and small debris fall away as you lift larger material. It's useful for separating brush and roots from the dirt beneath them while collecting material for disposal or relocation.
Protected Hydraulic Components
The grapple features welded hydraulic cylinders with 10 gauge protective covers. Storm also supplies 6,100 lb rated hydraulic hoses with Kevlar wrap and a hose protector kit to help shield components while working around branches and debris.
Greaseable Pivots for Routine Maintenance
All pivot points are greaseable, allowing regular lubrication of the grapple's moving parts. Combined with the industrial exterior finish, this helps make the attachment practical to maintain throughout repeated loading and cleanup work.
