We believe buying serious equipment online should come with more than a product page and an order confirmation. You should be able to get straight answers, understand what you are buying, and know there are real people behind the business when you need help.
How Yard Patriots Started
Yard Patriots was founded in 2024 by Rob Alban and two ecommerce entrepreneurs, including one of the company's current owners.
Rob brought the original vision and the determination to turn it into a real business. He also brought 23 years of service as a US Marine, which helped shape the name Yard Patriots and the values behind the original company.
The rest of the founding team brought roughly two decades of ecommerce experience across SEO, advertising, strategy, and building online businesses.
It was a combination that worked: equipment, entrepreneurship, American pride, and a belief that there was a better way to serve people shopping for serious machinery online.
A New Chapter
When Rob decided it was time to move on, Yard Patriots could have simply been sold and become someone else's business.
Instead, one of the original cofounders saw just how much opportunity was still ahead and teamed up with longtime business partner and best friend to buy the remaining ownership and keep building.
Today, Yard Patriots is owned by two entrepreneurs who are not veterans.
We kept the name because the spirit behind it still means something to us.
What Patriotism Means to Us
We love America. Not as a political statement, but because we believe deeply in the opportunity this country gives people to build something of their own.
Start a business. Own some land. Learn a trade. Build a farm. Take a risk. Create jobs. Solve a problem. Serve people well and earn a profit doing it.
That spirit of independence, hard work, ownership, and opportunity is what Yard Patriots means to us today.
We have a lot of respect for the contractors, farmers, ranchers, homesteaders, tradespeople, landowners, and business owners who live that same way.
What We're Building
Our goal is to build Yard Patriots into one of the best places in America to buy serious outdoor power equipment and land management machinery.
That means carrying equipment worth owning, supporting American manufacturers when we can, giving customers useful information instead of marketing fluff, and being available when a big equipment purchase raises a question.
We do not need to carry everything.
We would rather carry good equipment, understand what we sell, and help customers make a purchase they feel good about years later.
