The optional handle described here — the BEFCO “PHD003” Auger Positioning Handle — is a smart add-on for any of BEFCO’s MOLE post-hole diggers. It mounts directly to the digger’s gearbox and gives you precise control over the auger’s tip position from the tractor seat, saving time and spare steps whenever you start a hole.
With this handle, you can easily raise or lower the auger tip: raise the handle to bring the auger toward the tractor, or lower it to move it away — ideal for aligning the bit accurately before engaging the PTO. That means less fuss and less risk of misalignment, especially when you’re working on multiple holes or hard-to-reach spots.
